Paniek bij de Moffen... De Belgen vallen aan!
Een Belgische F16 dropt per abuis een bom op Duitsland...
The Belgian Air Force accidently dropped a bomb during a practice flight over Germany on Monday.
A bomb from an F-16 fighter jet fell into woodland close to the small town of Lastrup in Lower Saxony.
Nobody was injured as a result of the incident.
The bomb measured 40 centimetres and weighed eight kilogrammes.
Belgian Air force officials immediately informed their German colleagues about the incident and a team from the German Military Police was sent to the area from the Wilhelmshaven Naval Base.
However, they were unable to locate the bomb.
The German Air force demanded and got an official explanation about the incident from their Belgian counterparts.

De VRT probeert dit voorval duidelijk te minimaliseren door te vermelden dat het maar een bom van 4 kg zou zijn, terwijl defensie zelf zegt dat ze 8kg woog.
Dat zou wel een spijtige zaak zijn voor defensie wanneer iemand daar net een wandeling door het bos zat te maken en zo een projectiel op zich kreeg.
Het is te merken dat Vincent in het buitenland vertoeft, want elke nieuwsconsument in België kent dit nieuwsfeit al sinds dinsdag. Als IFF een citatenblog geworden is, zeg het dan, want ik kan hier gerust nog wat meer opmerkelijke nieuwsfeitjes copy/pasten...
